Marja Vongerichten, keynote speaker

Marja Vongerichten has done much to raise the profile of Korean cuisine on the culinary map as host of the PBS TV series Kimchi Chronicles. The show has featured a variety of Korean foods and served as a vehicle for introducing Korean culture to American viewers.

Born in Korea to a Korean mother and an American soldier, she was adopted by a family in Virginia at the age of 3. Later in life, she reunited with her birth mother in New York. She lives in New York City with her husband, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and their daughter, Chloe.
